Role Overview

You will be leading a small, well-supported preschool classroom of 10 children, working closely with 5 teacher assistants. This structure allows you to focus on delivering high-quality, individualized support while maintaining a calm and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver structured preschool lessons tailored to children with diverse developmental needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Use play-based, multi-sensory, and engaging teaching strategies
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and well-organized classroom environment
  • Guide and supervise teacher assistants to ensure effective classroom support
  • Collaborate with therapists (speech and occupational therapy teams), parents, and staff
  • Monitor, document, and report on student progress

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children (early childhood experience is essential)
  • Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, or developmental delays
  • Strong classroom management and leadership skills (ability to manage assistants)
  • Patient, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English
