The Comfort of Weighted Plush Toys in Special Needs Classrooms

At OrbRom Center in Phnom Penh, every sensory support tool we use has a purpose—and one of the most beloved among our students is the weighted animal plush toy. Whether it’s a frog, lizard, or crocodile, these soft, cuddly tools do much more than provide comfort. They offer deep pressure input that helps children with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing difficulties regulate their emotions and stay focused during classroom activities.
