OrbRom Center and Glow Early Learning Partner to Support Inclusive Education in Phnom Penh

OrbRom Learning Support Center and Glow Early Learning have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together in supporting children with special educational needs. The partnership brings together Glow’s child-centred approach to early learning and OrbRom’s experience in assessments, therapy, early intervention, and inclusive education.

OrbRom was pleased to welcome Ms. Rebecca Sardeson, Director of Glow Early Learning, for the signing. Both organisations share a belief that children learn best when they feel understood, included, and supported. We admire Glow’s commitment to nurturing each child’s curiosity, individuality, and sense of belonging.

What the partnership will cover

Under the MoU, Glow Early Learning and OrbRom intend to collaborate in several areas:

• Assessments and therapy: Supporting Glow students who may benefit from an assessment or therapeutic intervention, with parental consent.
• Individualised education plans: Working with families and teachers to develop and review goals that connect a child’s support with their learning at school.
• Professional development: Sharing practical knowledge with teachers, aides, and parents to strengthen support for children with diverse learning needs.
• Transitions and inclusion: Working together to support children as they move into mainstream education.

These activities will be planned around each child’s needs and coordinated with their family and school team.

Building support around each child

For young children, the adults around them play an important role in making support consistent. When families, educators, and therapists share observations and agree on clear goals, they can better understand a child’s strengths and respond to challenges across home and school.

This partnership creates more opportunities for Glow and OrbRom to work together in that way. It also gives staff opportunities to exchange practical strategies that can be used in everyday classroom activities.
