At OrbRom Center, we believe that collaboration plays an essential role in improving inclusive education and child development services in Cambodia. We were honored to recently welcome Andrew Millar, Vice Principal at ACE Cambodia (IDP Education) and Vice Chair of BritCham Cambodia, to our center in Phnom Penh to learn more about the work we are doing to support children with diverse learning and developmental needs.

Strengthening Inclusive Education in Phnom Penh

The visit created an excellent opportunity to discuss the growing importance of inclusive education in Phnom Penh and the increasing need for quality support services for children requiring additional educational and developmental support.

During the meeting, our team shared more about OrbRom Center’s multidisciplinary approach, which focuses on helping children build communication, academic, social, behavioral, and independence skills through individualized intervention programs.

As awareness surrounding autism, ADHD, speech delays, learning difficulties, and developmental challenges continues to grow in Cambodia, more schools and families are seeking professional support services that are evidence-based, structured, and child-centered.

Sharing OrbRom Center’s Services and Approach

During the visit, we introduced the range of services currently offered at OrbRom Center, including:

  • Speech therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Preschool support programs
  • Individualized special needs intervention
  • Developmental and academic assessments

Our team also shared how therapy and educational interventions are individualized based on each child’s strengths, challenges, developmental profile, and educational needs.

At OrbRom Center, we place strong importance on professionalism, collaboration with families and schools, and maintaining high-quality standards across all services.

The Importance of Early Intervention

One of the key topics discussed during the visit was the importance of early identification and early intervention for children with developmental and learning challenges.

Research consistently shows that children who receive appropriate support early are more likely to develop stronger communication, academic, emotional, and social skills over time. Early intervention can also help improve school readiness, independence, classroom participation, and confidence.

Many families in Phnom Penh continue to face challenges when trying to access specialized services for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language delays, sensory processing difficulties, and learning disorders. Increasing access to quality services remains an important goal for the future of inclusive education in Cambodia.

Building Professional Partnerships in Cambodia

At OrbRom Center, we value opportunities to connect with schools, educational organizations, healthcare professionals, and community leaders who share the same vision of improving support systems for children and families.

Professional visits and discussions like this help strengthen collaboration, increase awareness, and encourage continued development within Cambodia’s educational and special needs sectors.

We truly appreciate Andrew Millar’s visit, thoughtful discussions, and positive feedback regarding the professionalism of our team and the quality of services being provided at OrbRom Center.
